How do I manage and organise my availability?

Providing Care

We recommend breaking your area into smaller, manageable territories, especially if you offer both live-in and hourly care services. Pairly is designed to be flexible, so you can structure your availability in a way that best suits your team and service model.

For live-in care, we suggest setting a broader availability area since carers are typically covering wider regions and staying with clients for extended periods. This could be defined by county or general postcode regions (e.g., "Devon – Live-in").

For hourly care, we recommend splitting your availability into more specific local areas to reflect how your team currently operates. This could mean breaking it down by postcode sectors (e.g., EX3 2, EX4 1) or aligning availability cards with your existing staff "runs" or coverage routes. This allows you to manage capacity more accurately, respond to new enquiries more efficiently, and only take on work where you can actually fulfil it.

You can always adjust or add new availability cards as your coverage expands or changes, giving you full control over how your services are presented on Pairly. We recommend checking your availability once a week, or whenever you log in, just to ensure everything is up to date and care seekers can request care.
