Accepting and Declining Care Requests
Responding to care requests promptly, ideally within minutes, is crucial. According to an MIT study, fast response times significantly increase your chances of converting an enquiry into a successful client relationship.
“The study found a staggering 21-fold decrease in the odds of qualifying a prospect if the response time stretched from 5 to 30 minutes. Even more startling, the chances of qualification dropped fourfold between 5 and 10 minutes;” - Professor Oldroyd, MIT
Accepting or declining quickly reflects your customer service standards and shows responsiveness and reliability. It also helps you move enquiries faster through to assessment and, potentially, into a confirmed client.
If you’re unable to facilitate a care request, it’s actually kinder to decline promptly. This allows Pairly to automatically redirect the care seeker to another provider with capacity or a suitable service type, ensuring they receive support as quickly as possible.
And remember, when you accept, you’re accepting the care connection, not the package of care. This step simply acknowledges the enquiry and opens communication between you and the care seeker.
